Good Morning

Good morning everyone! It looks like we are in for another hot day here in Suwanee. I hope we don't get any of the weather the midwestern states have been experiencing! We used to live in Indiana and some of the worst flooding is in the area we lived. Thankfully, our family memebers were kept safe during all the flooding.

William has returned from camp and it is nice to have him home. He had a very bad ingrown toenail experience while he was gone. His toe was in terrible shape Saturday night but it is looking better after a few Epsom salt and Betadine soaks. I'm taking him to the doctor to be sure there is no infection involved.

Gerald and Patch are happy to have their boy back home. They have been lying on his stuff and following him around.

Byron and Amanda left for work a couple of hours ago. I hope they both have a good day. I will be working with William on ACT prep today. He will be testing on Saturday.

Well, I need to get some bills paid so I'd better stop blogging for now! I hope all of you have a great day.

This Has Been Fun

This has been fun and now it's time to take a break and then gear up for the next quarter. I hope all of you have a great June!

I will receive my GTAP plaque this afternoon. I completed the GTAP program through the Visitor and Convention Bureau this semester. I really learned a lot about Gwinnett County and all the different facilities and events that are available in our county. We sure do have a lot to offer the tourists who come to this part of Georgia.

I think I'll continue blogging! This was one of the more fun assignments and learning experiences for me outside of my BUS201 class. Wow! Now I can do lots of cool stuff on my computer.

I'll be back later.

Finals Today

Good morning everyone! I am so glad that this quarter is almost over. I still need to improve my typing speed so I hope I can do that today. I have my English review and final this evening. Tomorrow is the BUS106 final and then I can get my house back in order.

If any of you are considering taking Accounting in July, I have the textbook and will be selling it. I used it for ACC101 and ACC102. It is heavily highlighted through Chapter 13. It is in very good used condition and I am asking $100.00 cash. The bookstore prices are $200.00 New and $150.00 Used. I will not be taking ACC103 so I don't need the book anymore.

I mentioned that I am a Longaberger Consultant. We have a great new basket on sale this month. Check it out at www.longaberger.com/moyanash and see what you think! If you would be interested in hostessing a home show or catalog show, let me know and I'll set up a date that is convenient for you.

Well, I must type for speed now, so I had better get busy typing! Wish me success.

Amanda's Friends from Montana and William's Camp Trip

Amanda's friend, Sierra, and Sierra's friend, Katie, spent the night with us last night. Sierra and Katie are from Montana and they are driving back home this week. Sierra went to Ireland for her class trip and just returned to the States. Katie flew to Tampa so she could ride back to Montana with Sierra. They are hoping to make it home by Friday night but it could actually be Saturday before they get there. They will be stopping in Kentucky tonight and making other stops along the way.

Amanda and Byron left for work at 7:20 this morning. Sierra, Katie, and I had breakfast together and visited for a while before they had to start their travels. I sent them off with sandwiches and chips so they can stop and eat when they get ready to take a break. Sierra gave me a beautiful Irish Christmas ornament before she left. It is an oval ceramic map of Ireland and I will always treasure it. I have it hanging off a drawer pull on my hutch.

Yesterday afternoon, Amanda and I dropped off William and Gaby at camp. The boys were very excited about seeing all their friends again. William took his electric guitar, amp, microphone stand, and microphone with him so he and his buddies can practice for the talent show on Friday night. They are doing an REM song and some other stuff too.

Wow! Finals are this week! I hope I can remember everything for the tests. I really should get busy and finish up my school work for today, so I'll sign off for now. I hope all of you will do well on your finals too!

An Early Start to the Day

Good morning! William and I started out early this morning. We left the house at 6:15 to travel to our friend's house in Dacula so we can visit with her mother for a few hours. Onie is napping and so is William. This morning William and I stopped for breakfast at Chick-Fil-A.

We will be heading back towards Suwanee in a couple of hours so William can go to his guitar lessons. Both of his guitars need to be restrung and he has to get a new strap for his electric one. He will perform in the camp talent show next Friday and he wants good sound when he plays with his friends. We will take him to camp after services on Sunday and then head back home for a few minutes prior to evening services.

Well, this is news for now. I'll be back later. Have a great day!

The End Is Near

Wow! We are almost finished with this quarter and it feels good to have all the work completed so far. The end is in in sight and I'll be happy to have a break. It was quite a load managing 18 hours of online classes. I am only taking 8 hours during the summer quarter. I hope all of you have a terrific summer.

I need to start on my final assignments so I will write more later.

YouTube - Historical St Albans

YouTube - Historical St Albans

I found this video of Historical St Albans on YouTube.

Happy Memorial Day to all of you! I hope you will enjoy your time off with your families and friends. I just signed on to check my assignments that are due this week. Can you believe this quarter is almost finished!

Amanda and William just left to go hike some of the trails near Lake Lanier. They took some sandwiches and drinks with them so I think they'll be gone for a while. Byron is upstairs preparing his sermon for this upcoming Sunday morning. Gerald and Patch are enjoying listening to the sounds of the birds singing in the trees. It has been a lovely day so far.

We saw two good movies this weekend. We saw the new Indiana Jones movie with William on Saturday and then went to Panera Bread for dinner. Last night we saw Narnia, Prince Caspian after evening services with several of our friends.

I have been preparing food for dinner. I am keeping everything very simple today. We are going to play cards together later this evening. We play a game called "Oh, Heck!" that my in-laws played with their friends when they were newlyweds. You play 15 hands, start out with 8 cards, decrease to 1 card, and then increase back up to 8 cards. Each hand has different trump and you bid based upon what you think you can take. If you make your bid, you score 10 plus the bid (bid 2, score 12), if you go under your bid you lose 11 points (bid 3 and only take 1 or 2, minus 11 points), if you take more than you bid your score decreases by 1 point for each card above your bid (bid 2 take 3 cards, minus 1 point off your score).

Well, I need to get to work! I'll be back later.
